The Jennifer Davidson Creative Endowment
19 July 2021 - 25 November 2021
An annual program supporting emerging creatives.
Founded by Andrew and Neil Davidson, the Jennifer Davidson Creative Endowment supports an emerging creative professional to join the Terrapin team for 12 months, gaining hands-on experience and training. Designed to benefit both Terrapin and the artist, the Jennifer Davidson Creative Endowment is a long-term project for building capacity in the Tasmanian performing arts sector.
In 2023, we’re delighted to welcome Mads Hillam into the workshop as our Endowment recipient. Mads will spend 2023 working alongside master puppet-maker Bryony Anderson, learning about the artform and building on her skills in design and making.
The Endowment is named for Jennifer Davidson, Terrapin’s founding artistic director. A designer and puppet-maker, Jennifer created many of the company’s early puppets. We are grateful to Andrew and Neil for their vision, and couldn’t be more pleased to have Mads on board.
Applications for the 2024 Endowment program will open later in 2023. If you’re interested in learning more, please send us an email.
