Scout McDonald is a performer from lutruwita/Tasmania specialising in physical and children’s theatre. 

Scout discovered her passion for children’s theatre when working with Make Believe Theatre from 2018-2019 on shows Jack and the Beanstalk, Hansel and Gretel, The Sleeping Beauty, and Puss in Boots. Scout’s enthusiasm for physical theatre however came when studying a Bachelor of Contemporary Arts at the University of Tasmania (2017-2019).

Spotted by Terrapin during her final year of study, Scout has been performing for the company since 2020, featuring as Prince Bougrelas in King Ubu, a puppeteer for Scaredy Cat’s Tasmanian schools tour (2021), Sydney Opera House season, and Art House Wyong season (2022), and is currently a part of Terrapin’s ongoing Tasmanian schools tour, The Paper Escaper.
